Evo-Prosthesis

I have worked individually on product development, ideation, and business development. As a follow-up to the Fairytail project, the Evo-Prosthesis project used the founding and discovered principals to generate a more automated and effective assistive device. We define Evo-Prosthesis as a prosthetic device that restores limbs/appendages that were selected against by evolution, rather than lost to injury or birth defect.

Product development was been significantly independent with help from my university advisors. The product went through consistent reimplementation of mechatronics for device control through synthesized sensor inputs. Preliminary Mechatronic implementation pictured.

With help from my advisors, tests were run on more a more advanced and sturdier inverted pendulum than that used in the Fairytail project. The device faced continued development, particularly the control mechanism native to the microcontroller. Testing setup pictured to the left.

Product control mechanism progressed to approximate automation of balance of inverted pendulum. The test on the right shows that preliminary effect from our Evo-Prosthesis has been recreated from the initial Fairytail prototype published in BMES in the newer device with preliminary automated control.
